Heartbreak In A Sunset (http://fineartamerica.com/featured/heartbreak-in-a-sunset-kerry-kralovic.html)

need a place to crash…

somewhere far…

away from you…

from what we used to be…

from how we are now…

where the walls have no memory of you and me…

where hearts are never fragile…

where tears are a thing of mystery…

and pain is never felt…

Tears

my tears are unspoken truths…
they are painful memories…
my quiet sadness…

my tears represent time…
each teardrop a period…
in which
i’ve kept myself from
thinking about you…

i restrained myself
from begging you
to come back to me…
to hold me when i feel sad and alone…
to kiss me when i’ve had a bad day…

i picked myself up
in spite of my desires
to sit in a corner
and just let the days pass me by…

my tears are pieces of
you and me…slowly
washing away…

won’t you catch these
tears that i shed?…
these tears are my diamonds…
they sparkle like jewels…
and glisten like the sea
under the sun…

Mirror Monologue

smile won’t you?
wipe away the tears
that blur your vision
of who you are…
tuck that wisp of hair
behind your ear
and smile
don’t weep…the heaviness
and the pain that
plague your heart
will be lifted soon..
cross your fingers
close your eyes
everything will be alright…
so breathe…hold your head
high and smile…
stop counting the days
you’ve been alone…
stop counting the hours
and the minutes that pass
they are independent variables
that you can not control…
stop waiting for time to return
for time only moves forward…
so wipe away your tears
and stop crying like a child
it’s time to grow up…
